Bonjour,

D'après une source de Hyères les hybrides de W. filifera et de W. robusta n'auraient pas survécu à l'hiver 85/86 contrairement aux pures filifera et robusta. Qu'en pensez-vous? On aurait pu espèrer à une résistance intermédiaire non?

D'après Wikipedia anglophone :

"Washingtonia filibusta is a hybrid of the species W. filifera and W. robusta. Stores do not sell purebreds, they sell the hybrid only. The hybrid does not look too different than the purebred, but is more hardy to cold than the robusta, especially wet cold.[1]

This palm has been palnted in select microclimates in the Seattle area with promising results."

L'auteur penche plutôt pour une meilleure résistance au froid (et aux hivers pluvieux) de cet hybride.
