Hello cycadfriends.
I live in the Czech Republic and cycads grow about 15 years.
Most Encephalartos directly imported from SA.
You will find some interesting reading to grow here in Europe
Unfortunately, I do not know France and even my English is not too good
Here some photos from the collection
Lehmannii
Ngoyanus
Cupidus
Alti x trispi
Princeps
Msinganus
Horridus
Hildebrandtii
All larger and more stable from April to September are grown outdoors
Only small seedlings in the greenhouse are.

Thanks,
Like all of us, I had problems to begin collecting
but as the time to learn what they need in our climate conditions.
Unfortunately I still have some problem with that, they do leaves in winter
if very little light and little sun and then the leaves are unsightly, thin and very long.
I have a small greenhouse that I use only for a temporary period.
March, April and October, November.
From May to September, I have almost all cycads outside.
In winter from November to February I give cycads in the cellar of the house.,
where very little light and cold from 7-10 Celsius in night's 15-18 Celsius day
One my small Inopinus 7cm diam produce now 2 new leaves

Hello, Josef.
I'm very impressed by all the beautiful cycas U have. What's more surprising is that U'r able to make them grow in the Czech Republic. The country is not know as one of the warmest in Europe, isn't it!
I have a few question's 4 U: Do U also have some Zamias? And could you describe what kind of soil U use for the Cycas. Do U prepare it yourself or do U buy it "from the shelf"?
Thanks for U'r answers.

Hi
I particularly almost all Encephalartos, few Dioons and cycads and only one Zamia Vasquezi.
I myself substrate mix / perlite, pumice, LIAPOR, SERAMIS / cca 80%
and cca 20% / sand and garden soil /.But my opinion is that not count for much, is far more important to find the right way of service in their own terms.I saw a very beautiful plants grow
all sorts of substrate.

Hi Josef,
I'm baffled to see what U'r able to make growing in U'r country, it's really
I must admit that I've never seen so many beautiful species on the same place. Congratulations.
Thank U 4 U'r information about the substrate, it's very interesting to compare with the mix I'm used to use. Do U hold them dry all the winter or do U sprinkle them sometimes?
How old are your plants? Did U had seed them all or did you bought some from a vendor?
You should contact another crazy cycadale fan on this forum, it's Sim01. He seems to be as mad as you are, for sure!
Best admiring regards.

On connait bien Joseph, ses cycadales et son jardins de palmiers et yuccas
.
D'excellents spécimens d'encephalartos qui mériteraient une mise en scène un peu plus séduisante.
