Hello texeltje,texeltje a écrit :Bonjour
I had trown some seeds last year in my garden outside. I thought they wouldnt sproud because they were to old...the sun is shining on that part of the garden a lot, and i was real suprised that after a few months (i had forgotten that i trew seeds in my garden) i had suddenly 6 M sikkimens in my garden....they did grow very well..>So if you have banana seeds that wont sproud....trow them not away but in de garden....They did survive low temperatures....I did trow them in january or so in the garden...no problem

Thanks for sharing your experience, maybe the temperature variation beetween nights and days helped the germination.
I ofen get the same results with old palm seeds, they germinated in the ground after 3 or 4 years spent in bags...
By the way, I guess you can read French, so maybe you can also write a bit of French? I fear that some non English speaking pleople on the board could feel frustrated.
Bonjour texeltje,
